This unusual sunken kitchen area was originally divided into three small rooms. We knocked down the utility and breakfast room walls to create one large space. The washer and dryer are now contained in the bamboo cabinets and the breakfast room is part of the kitchen. Our client is a talented and frequent cook who loves to entertain. We found room for several built-in pantries, microwave and trash drawers, and a wine refrigerator.
Warm bamboo cabinets and slate floors contrast with the cool stainless steel and glass tiles. A large island can serve as a great buffet for parties and seats four. For additional storage, we ran open shelves across the window to display bar and stemware.
Audino Construction provided the construction services and did a wonderful job implementing the design.
